Name of the book: Tharki Author: Kunal Marathe Published by: Legendary Books India Number of Pages: 202 Genre: Non-Fiction T harki, a Hindi word, which in English means someone who is lascivious, pervert or lewd; however the story of this book is nowhere close to its meaning. The story is of a guy from a middle-class Maharastrian family, wherein it is very common for the parents to work hard to make sure their child goes to the best possible school/college and pursue great careers, falls in love with a girl at his school - Tara. While the love story takes an abrupt yet a dramatic twist, the story gets nothing but more interesting. The author and the protagonist of the story – Kunal, goes through a series of repercussion post his break up with Tara; he gives up his dream career in Merchant Navy and lands up in a dingy room where all he does is smoke his lungs out and becomes a drunkard.
