MOONLIT MATINEE
CONCEPT BY:- PULKIT GUPTA
EDITED BY:- HARSHITA SHRIVASTAVA
(A COLLECTION OF 14 FASCINATING LOVE STORIES)
story 2: EMPTINESS by Pulkit Gupta
his story writing i have always liked - simple, captivating!! this story of Rachit, is the same!! Simple yet heart touching!!
short stories, in themselves come with a word limit and to express the whole scene what is in author's mind is quite challenging!!
since i had read his "life and promises" & short story in "you, me & zindagi" , i quickly turned to page 18, to read his story first!! and i don't regret it :)
all n all its a soft and sweet story
story 7: THE LOVE STORY by Harpreet Makkar
the 2nd story i read was, THIS!!
this again is a cute, very cute story :)
at the end of the story, there's 1 line -
"some love stories never end, they just keep getting lovelier!!"
this is just perfect line for this story... cute, sweet and nicely written by Harpreet-ji!!
some love stories, never end!!
story 13: EHSAAS - THE FEELING by Pulkit Gupta
this is the best-est story according to me by Pulkit!! fascinating!!
since, his writing is simple and neat, its easier to imagine the characters and feel the story.
i liked this story a lot...!!
its not just "written" ... its "feeling" , as the name says!!
many times we fail to understand old people and think of them as a burden, but this story will make us realize their part too.
with each page, i was eager to turn to next!! yes!! that involved i was in this one.
KUDOS!! to uh pulkit ;)
story 1: BON VOYAGE by Harshita Srivastava
so then, yes!! this is the 4th story i turned the pages to, and guess what??
haha :D it obviously made me stir some emotions inside me... it made me smile throughout and at the end... ummmm.. it left me teary eyed!! :'(
its really well written, and simple yet full of power to make one indulge in it!!
hats off to Harshita mam...
story 3: RASGULLA by Abhishek
this story.... no words!!
i mean how can people write with no jazzy or hi-fi words, simple English and yet leave you with such a storm of emotions???
this story !! a beautiful one, indeed, i wish i could give it to my parents to read and make them understand what are the circumstances of making your daughter accept decisions forcefully and that to of the most important relationship of any girl's life -- MARRIAGE!!
Kudos to you Abhishek!!
perfect story!!!
story 4 : WISH YOU WERE HERE by Ila Garg
this story made me cry (yes!! again!!) :(
heart touching and ended on such a note that was left numb for few seconds!!
falling short of words, actually!!
thumbs up, Ila :)
story 6: ALL I WANT IS YOU by Sonia Kundra Singh
late ni8 read of this one...
its kinda becoming repetitive for all stories til nw -- simple, beautifully written, hear touching..
this story was no different!!
not that cute like others i read til now , bt then what ends well is well :)
story 9: BOLLYWOOD AFFAIR'S by Ayaan Basu
before i read his story, i saw his author's bio!! and since he is well know and has written so many stories, poems etc, I obviously expected a mature type story :)
and guess what??? i was not let down!!
i mean, yeah!! the story was not like other's i have read in this book, different, but it was mature!! the feel of the story was completely different.
love, in this story was a different one!! the feel was different..
kudos to uh ayaan :) it was a nice, very nice story :)
story 10: FLAVOURED SMOKE by Pratham Devang
multi talented guy i guess...!! ( gng by his author's bio :P )
since the name was "hatke" , and i m eager for his novel, "the mutton soup", i started reading...
the story when finished, i literally felt myself hugging the lead of the story i.e Avril Shroff!!
i mean, that was the story <3
so sweet so cute so pure!!
well written, well described and if i could imagine, then obvio it was cutest ;)
cheers to Pratham for this story :)
story 8: THE GIFTS by Ishita Bhown
the true love, one's responsibility towards the society, the troubles, the sacrifices... the list is endless...
this story left me with a wide smile (yes.. yes.. i say this to almost ll stories of this book!! :) :P)
but seriously, the cause for which Jia, the girl of the story stands for, is not so easy. also, its pretty difficult for a guy (esp. in our country, where all are Male Chauvinists) to accept her 2 wishes!! may b one was easier bt the 2nd one!! quite difficult!!
but story ended on a happy note, and thats all made me smile :)
i wish we ever get to see such guy's in real world...
well written, nice cause, can inspire few to actually do the cause :)
story 12: CUPID'S ARROW, BULL'S EYE by Siddhartha Yadav
so, the last story to read was this!! and i must say it was again Different!!
love does means "sacrifices" but, this much???
i have seen girls/ldies/wives doing sacrifices but not so much!!
but again, the guy, Namam realized his mistake and took a stand for his wife after all the torture she faced and sacrifices she did for him, moved my heart!!
all that ends good, is good!! always!!
P.S: i didnt write anything bout the 3 poems in this book. the sole reason is i never undertsand them or its just not my plt to read and understand them!!
so the overall review:
1) all stories are very good!! some left me wid smiles, some with tears!! some wth shock and some made my heart melt!!
ALL IN ALL, ALL ARE "ek se badhkar ek". they all have their positives and different-ness..
2) the book quality, pages, the author's bio etc are all awesome!!
3) content is imaginable, cute, shades of love, different, full of warmth, simple and still, very readable and indulging!!
4)no mistakes - printing, grammer, and most impostant > "selection of stories"
Kudos to Pulkit and his team!! great work!! a book worth a read, and will leave us with some lessons :)
I remember asking Pulkit about this book, before ordering and he replied, "i hope that doesnot make u change you, your mind about buying it!"
And now, I would say... definately, NOT!! i don't regret buying this book :)
p.s. again : all the reviews of stories are genuine!! not because any1 is my friend or 'coz i wana get praised nor want to butter any1 :)
my rating: 4.5 out of 5
