POST 2 of my NAIL ART TUTORIALS (step-by-step)

Art tutorial – Post 2
1) CANDY MANI
The other day when I had
been to the mall, I really couldn’t resist buying this yummy candy from Candy
Shop!! After getting home, before I could eat it I thought of doing a nail
mani, inspired from its colors!! And I guess I pulled it off well!!
So for this mani, all you
will require is – pink polish, white polish, green polish, top coat and silver
polish!!
This one again is very, very
simple one.
Steps are as:-
1.
Apply the base coat
on all nails.
2.
You can opt for any 1
nail for the silver polish or none!! I chose the nail which was broken.
3.
On the rest fingers,
all you have to do is with the help of a dotting tool or the base of a paint
brush, dip it in pink polis and dot randomly. Follow the same with white as
well as the green polish.
*You
can cover whole nail or do it as a French mani. I did like the latter one. Make
sure, you don’t leave any gaps in the dots. Even if the colors overlap, its
okay!
4. Once you are done with the dots, let them dry.
5. Finish it with a top coat!! And you’re done J
2) VALENTINE DAY MANI
This nail art was again
inspired from @missjenfabulous!! This one is simple except the rose design on
the thumb.
So all you need for this
mani is – dark pink polish, light pink polish, golden polish, white polish,
green polish and top/base coat.
So the
steps are :
1.
Apply base coat on all the nails. Let it dry.
2.
Apply white polish on all nails. Apply at least
3 to 4 coats with each coat drying properly.
3.
Then take a dotting tool or base of a paint
brush or even bobby pins!! Dip it in gold polish and make dots on the middle
finger.
4.
Take a nail art fine stripper, dip it in pink
polish and draw stripes on your small finger. (it might not come straight in
the very first attempt, mine aren’t either :P)
5.
Do the same with the gold polish on the ring
finger.
6.
Now, it’s time to draw some roses on your
thumb J

Draw medium sized dots with the lighter pink
polish. It’s not necessary for them to be in perfect round. Let it dry a bit.

Then take a bobby pin/dotting tool/toothpick
dip it in darker pink polish, and 1st outline the circle leaving
gaps in between, then draw a small dot in the center. Again, it’s not necessary
for it to be perfect as we are drawing roses!!

With the green polish draw small leaves on
either side of the roses!!
7.
Take a toothpick or nail art brush and write “LOVE”
on the index finger.
8.
Once all nails are well dried, apply the top
coat and woila!! The mani is done J
3) DOTTICURED MANI:
This one is similar to the
candy nail art above!! Here, only the dots are big.
Things needed – dark blue
polish, light blue polish, silver polish, and top/base coat.
To get this mani:
1.
Apply base coat on all nails, and let it dry.
2.
Draw random dots with both darker and lighter
blue and silver.
3.
Once dried, apply the top coat and it’s done!!
4) HEARTS
MANI:
This mani is actually fun
and its cute too. This was my very first attempt to use a toothpick to do my
nail art :P
So, things needed would be:
- Red polish, white polish, some toothpicks !!
This is very easy and a
quick one.
All you have to do is :
1.
Apply white polish on all the nails. 2 or 3
coats. Let them dry.
2.
With the help of toothpick, dip it in red
polish make a ‘v’ shape. Draw as many as uh can, but make sure the hearts are
clear and not messy!!
That’s it!! You’re done...
P.S: I haven’t applied the
top coat as it will smudge, but you still can, after letting it dry for some
hours.
