Love is true when it's with opposite person!
Sometimes
in our life we meet someone… Someone who has similar eclectic tastes, just like you!
You both
like to travel or have this dream of travelling the entire globe, love to eat,
have same apartment goals, love cats, hate fish or any sea food, are allergic to gold
jewelry, caffeine addicted and maybe, just maybe have the same zodiac signs!
Both have a
similar goals, goals to earn enough money to buy a sea facing apartment, and
live happily with cats.
And, when
you happen to meet such a person, you feel like you have met your soul-mate and
you cannot help but dream of living the rest of your life with him!
You start building a castle of dreams, waking up next to him in that perfect apartment - a soft, fluffy, king-size bed,
couple of cats around snuggling in a cat basket, a big window just opposite
your bed wherein, when you open your eyes, you can see the seashore, hear the waves
crashing against the rocks and the breeze!
You get onto your right elbow and see him lying next to you, the perfect man of yours; slyly
smiling, as if he is dreaming something beautiful. His half body covered in a
warm white duvet, making him look like a Greek God of Love!
You bend
over a little and kiss him on his nose cautiously not trying to wake him up and
whisper to yourself, “I love you my babe. I am so lucky to have you in my life!”
You then
fetch for your silk robe on the bedside, and clung it around you. You tie up
your hair in a bun; put your feet in the furry slipper and head towards the
kitchen. The kitchen! The one you always wanted it to be as –a perfect marble kitchen
counter, big enough for you to cook with him and a massive refrigerator,
stacked with all the food you’ll ever need( and love).
You pull up
the coffee maker machine and brew some coffee. You
walk across the hall and open the door to pick up the daily newspaper, milk
packets and bread. By the time you are back, the coffee is brewed already, you pour it
in your coffee mug, and finish it while reading the headlines for the day.
As the morning sets in and you're awake and alive to this beautiful day, you start making breakfast for him, the love of your life – scrambled eggs with mixed herbs,
toast and a cup of black coffee. Just the way he loves it!
You put
together everything in a tray and make your way towards your bedroom, where he is
still asleep. You ruffle through his hair and wake him up. He opens his teeny weenie
eyes and gently tugs your hand and kisses you. And before you both can start
the ‘game’, again, you get out of bed giggling and say, “Now wake up sweetie and
eat your breakfast, I am going to take a shower now, see you in some time.”
Before you could lock the bathroom door, you hear him saying, out load, “Should I help
you in cleaning yourself? Because, I’d love to do that!!”. You giggle some more
and shout back saying, “No baby, I’ll be just fine!”
Halfheartedly he wakes up and starts to read the paper and munch on his breakfast.
You're done with your shower and then you come out in a beautiful bathrobe, water droplets falling on the
floor from your freshly washed hair, smelling of lavender and love. You are going
towards the dressing table to dry up your hair, when he, unable to resist comes up behind you and sensually puts his arms around your waist and looks into your
eyes through the mirror and whispers in your ear, “You’re the most beautiful woman
ever! I am lucky to have you as both my best friend and my wife!”
You
playfully push him aside and ask him to shower so that you can get ready, without any distractions.
Minutes
later when you are ready, you get busy doing the daily chores – feeding the
cats, getting his clothes from the wardrobe, keeping all the things he’d need
like his wallet, tie, pair of socks etc. and then his lunch box.
Just when
you’re locking the lid of the lunch box, he enters the hall, looking as
handsome as ever. You hand him the Tiffin and he leans in and plants a quick
peck on your lips before saying bye. He moves towards the door and you follow
him to say goodbye, when he turns in the doorway and hugs you and says, “See you
soon honey!”
Once he has left for the day, you start getting
back to your business. You have made your To-Do list for the day, laundry,
groceries, etc and eaten your breakfast. Then you move to the study room – the one
he had made keeping all your creativity in mind; a big library, sea facing
small coffee table with your laptop, a wireless printer just a hand away, a big
grandpa size chair with appropriately chosen lights.
You open
the lid of the laptop and start writing.
By evening,
you have checked all the items on the list and have written a fair portion of your blog and novel.
And then you hear the door unlock, you are there in the kitchen by the counter,
making some pasta for dinner. When he sees you, his eyes light up with
happiness and so does yours.
He freshens
up and sees the dinner table is ready with food and red wine. You both sit by
the table, clink the glasses, have dinner, discussing about how each of your day
went by!
Post
clean-up you head back to bed, where you see him completing some office-work on
his laptop; you switch the bed-side reading lamp and start reading.
A little
later you don’t know when, you both fall asleep in each other’s arms only to
wake up with same shy smile.
It is said
that we may marry our soul-mate, the love of our lives. The person who is
similar to us and with whom picturing our futures together is so easy and hussle free that
you fall in love with him/her more as the days pass by. You feel so perfectly
adorable and in love that you believe in “happily married forever”; where your likes or dislikes
are so similar that understanding each other is never an issue and there is no
room for any complaints.
However,
many times we fall for a person who is the exact opposite, in not one, but many
ways! Because, sometimes when you meet
someone exactly like you, you tend to know most of that person and that takes
away an important aspect of relationships – exploring each other / knowing each
other.
Sometimes,
similar personalities in a relationship tend to have more ego issues that the
ones who are not.
Imagine,
you both are short tempered and one small trigger makes you both fussy and none
of you would take the initiative to sort things, let alone apologize.
However, if
you and he are different people, maybe the same thing wont trigger the same emotions of anger / jealousy in both.
If he
spends, you save. If you get angry, he cools you down. If you cry, he makes you
laugh. If you like to write, he likes to listen. You want cats, but he likes dogs! If he takes a stupid decision, you back him up and say, things are going to be
just fine!.(Situations can be vice versa as well!)
It is all
about how well you cover each other’s flaws and love the imperfections each of you have! Perfect relationship can only exist in a book or a movie; a real
relationship will have fights, disagreements, tears, laughs but the most
important aspect will be LOVE!
All that
matters at the end is his nature and how much he cares about you. The one who’d
call you beautiful even when you are in your PJ’s and be proud of you and
support you in chasing your dreams.
