Nykaa Republic Day Haul Review

It was a grand sale on Nykaa.com. The reason: Republic Day. The sale was from 19th January till 26th January, on products ranging from skin care products to cosmetics. Name the brand, and it had a massive discount on it!

How is one, especially a girl, not supposed to shop in such a grand sale period? So, yes, I and my best friend, shopped until our last penny in the bank went to zero (*crying in the corner*, haha!!)

So this post is on what did we shop, and why? Majority of these are just refills because we loved them earlier, and some are to try for first time. 

The list goes as such:

1. Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair Rescue Reversilane Shampoo (X 2)

I have used this shampoo earlier, and trust me, this one is the best for any hair type if your hair is damaged and needs to be repaired. It does what the name says, rescues and repairs your damaged hair.
The M.R.P. is Rs. 799, but in sale we got it for Rs. 519 (actually it was as low as 488, but the other offer ended when we actually placed the order!) 

2. Dove Regenerative Repair Conditioner (X 2)

As we all know how important it is to use a conditioner after each shampoo. So if you are looking for a very good conditioner after shampooing, this is the one! It is light, doesn't weigh your hair down and it does make your hair look wow and super soft.
Now, the question, why not the Schwarzkopf conditioner if its shampoo? Well, the shampoo is great, but the conditioner is not even half as good. It’s sticky, and doesn't give any moisture to your hair (damaged or not). Hence, I bought this from a local supermarket at the cost of 250 bucks, and loved the results, so thought of refilling this, along with the shampoo.
Enriched with Red Algae Complex, it fortifies hair’s internal structure and restores its healthy look and feel, leaving it visibly regenerated. So whether you have colored, curled or straightened hair, this conditioner you can be sure that it feels smooth and stronger against breakage.

3. Dove Rejuvenated Conditioner (X1)

 
I have been using Bblunt voluminous shampoo for more than a month now, and along with that, I have been using this very conditioner. It gives volume to your dull, lifeless, fine hair and along with that, an immense amount of moisture! It also brings back softness and shine to your hair, making it look and feel thicker and fuller.

4. Maybelline New York white super fresh compact (Shade: pearl) 

This again, is a refill to my old compact powder. I have it in shade Shell, however this time I bought a shade lighter to match it with my complexion.
This compact lightens your complexion and absorbs sweat and oil and keeps skin fresh for 12 Hrs!! Ideal for everyday use, from college to office! Its light fragrance makes it more lovable.

The M.R.P. is just Rs. 150; I got it for Rs. 128 bucks. 

5. Maybelline baby lips color balm (Shade: watermelon smooth)

This is a very cheap and fairly good product to moisturize your lips which gives a tint of pink color.
It has a handy retractable stick which is easy to use and carry.
Infused with SPF20, it provides (up to) 8 hour moisturization.

The M.R.P. is Rs. 175, got it for Rs. 150 rupees. 

6. Maybelline volum' express falsies mascara - waterproof (Shade: black) 

Who doesn't love a little bit of extra volume on their eye lashes? I am sure, if not all, most of us do! This mascara from Maybelline gives you that extra volume and deep black eyes within minutes. And what’s more? It is completely waterproof; hence it won't smudge even after splashing water on the face! The bristles help in easy application and just double coat it for a perfect look! 

The M.R.P. of this is Rs. 500; got it on a discounted rate of Rs. 425.


7. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer (Shade: Honey) 

Now this is the very first time, I am buying a concealer in my life! Hence I wanted to play safe and chose the brand I own maximum cosmetics from and which is not expensive and gives a fair coverage.
It promises to hide and conceal any spots or imperfections and blends into the skin perfectly. 
The pen-like applicator makes it even easy to spot on the face and you can blend it with the help if your fingers or a makeup sponge.

The M.R.P. of this was Rs. 600; I got it for Rs. 525.

8. Maybelline Fashion Brow Duo Shaper (Shade: Brown)

To get defined, fuller eyebrows, I have bought this Fashion Brow Duo Shaper. It is the first ever 2-in-1 brow liner comes with a slim pencil tip to shape your brows and a powder tip for a soft finish. Pencil shapes, powder finishes, only 2 steps to wow!

The M.R.P. of this was Rs. 245; I got it for Rs. 208.

9. Maybelline Clean Express Total Clean Makeup Remover

It is a Bi-phase makeup remover that cleans all type of makeup without leaving a residue.

Benefits:

• Removes long lasting and waterproof makeup while leaving skin soft
• Instantly breaks down all types of stubborn eye makeup
• Dermatologist and allergy tested

The M.R.P. of this was Rs. 300; I got it for Rs. 240.

10. Indulekha Bringha Hair Oil Selfie Bottle (100 ml)

The complete Ayurvedic solution and is composed of 100 percent natural herbs that are prepared in a base of pure virgin coconut oil.

There’s a special attachment on its top, which is 6cm wide and has got ten needles of 2cm length, with holes at the edges.

The M.R.P. of this was Rs. 432; I got it for Rs. 367.

11. Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo (88.7 ml)

This shampoo is paraben free. It helps leave your hair softer and happy with each use. It eradicates the build-up of dirt, sweat and oil from your scalp and also removes unpleasant odor from hair/scalp. The smell is refreshing like that of a coconut and after wash, it leaves a soft, mesmerizing smell.

The M.R.P. of this was Rs. 295; I got it for Rs. 280.

12. Garnier Skin Naturals BB Cream SPF 24/PA+++ (9 ml) (X2)

It makes your skin soft, fair and flawless in seconds! It is lightweight and blends easily with skin. You can also use it as foundation under your make up and as primer under your eye-shadow. It makes the skin look radiant and evens the skin tone. It has SPF 24, which is okay for daily use and especially or girls (like us!) who do night shift job and hardly face the harsh sun rays!

The M.R.P. of this was Rs. 69; I got it for Rs. 59.

13. Biotique Bio Myristica Spot Correcting Anti-Acne face Pack (250ml)

My best friend bought it and this one treats pimples and helps control the bacteria that causes breakouts, redness and other skin irritations. It glides into the skin perfectly and effectively removes pimples and its marks.

The con of this product is, the quantity is very little and can’t be used more than once or maximum twice as a “mask”.

The M.R.P. of this was Rs. 199; I got it for Rs. 169.

14. Biotique Bio Green Apple Fresh Daily Purifying Shampoo & Conditioner (200 ml)

So this was my recommendation for her and her mom, as they both were looking for a clarifying shampoo, for a daily or very frequent use. I have used this before and I had loved it!

its special pH balanced formula is gentle enough to use every day.  It is a purifying shampoo & conditioner (yes, both!!) which will leave your hair soft and oil free (yes, oil free too!!).

It is a 2-in-1 shampoo conditioner, which cleans the scalp and hair. It also helps in getting rid of dandruff (to some extent).

It leaves the hair, soft, shiny, tangle free, with a mild fragrance of green apple (no perfume used, unlike other shampoo products) and also reduces the oil secretion.

15. Biotique Bio Papaya Exfoliating Face Wash for All Skin Types (50ml)

My best friend bought it and this is an exfoliating Face Wash which helps in cleaning the dirt and remove makeup residues. It helps dissolve dead surface cells, unclog pore openings and smooth the way for clear skin to surface.

The M.R.P. of this was Rs. 60; I got it for Rs. 51.

16. Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser (50 ml)

I had read some good reviews about this face and hence wanted to try this. The packaging is quite nice and sleek, easy for carrying it in the bag while going to college or work or shopping spree. It is a nice product and the smell is good too. It does not lather that much, like ponds/dove face wash, but yea, it cleans the skin easily. Removes dirt and oil and gives an instant glow to your face.

The M.R.P. of this was Rs. 95; I got it for Rs. 84.

17. Bharat & Dorris Lash Separator (No. 41)

I have been looking for a lash separator brush or quite some time now as I wanted to try one DIY eye-lash and eye-brow trick. I had seen a nice combo/kit which had this brush along with 6 more essential brushes, but unfortunately it went out of stock, until I put it in to the cart.

This brush allows you to separate the eye lashes and adds volume. I would soon be sharing some tips and tricks I would be using this brush for!

The M.R.P. of this was Rs. 200; I got it for Rs. 160.

18. NYKAA So Matte Nude Lipstick – Caramel Mocha (21M)

For a daily, subtle wear, Red and pink are too common and hence I love trying more of nude shades when it comes to lipsticks. I already have 4 from Maybelline and 1 from Colorresence. It is the best option when you want your eye makeup stand out or do some fun with the smokey eye effect and do not want to go overboard with a red/pink lippie.

This lipstick gives just a tint of brown color to your lips and is super pigmented. It says it is a 1-stroke finish lipstick, however it is disappointing. You need to apply-dab-apply to get the matte effect.

The packaging is quite cool and has magnetic pull when you close the tick. This helps when you are in hurry and sometimes the cover is not closed properly, leading it to break!

The M.R.P. of this was Rs. 399; and no discount on this.

So yes!! This was all we bought!! And we also got a complimentary Nykaa pouch along with this.
