Review on - World's Best Boyfriend!!

So the most awaited book by the heartthrob of so many girls, Durjoy Datta is finally out!! The Facebook feeds were overflowed by the girls who clicked selfies with the book, or did a collage with his photo and uploaded!! Quite cheesy ;)

Such is a craze for him and his dimple ;)

I being one such crazy fan of him and his work, finished the novel in 1 single go, in just 5 hours time span!!!

This is the 11th novel of Durjoy, and its tagline says, - “Because every ordinary girl deserves an extraordinary love story.” And like all his books, this one touches your heart J

The story is about Dhruv & Aranya!! Both very different from each other, share a common feeling – Hatred!! 

At a very young age of 12 these both happen to be classmates. Both had their own struggles, their own problems!! Where Dhruv was facing problems with his family, Aranya faced issues because of a disease she had!! In spite of all these, they both bonded quite well and promised to be with each other forever!! 

And then an incident turned their whole lives. They started hating each other, and that made each other to part their ways!!

After 8 long years they both again cross their paths when they join DTU (Delhi Technological University). It was Dhruv who happened to notice and recognize her 1st because of her ‘patchy’ skin tone. 

The bitterness which had only grown in all these years, led to a fight with her. The hatred was a mutual feeling for both and thus she too wanted to put him down, all the time. Dhruv too always would find reasons to insult her!!

Slowly, the hatred between them was well known in their college and she was quite popular because of her bossy nature and he, because of being a ruthless stud.

Days pass by, and Aranya is quite much attracted to a professor, Prof. Raghuvir; who was few years older than she was and was popular.

Things turn up to be bitter for her as always they had in her life, she faces quite irreversible after effects of these incidents.

The story takes a new turn when Dhruv helps Aranya by making her meet Prof. Raghuvir!! 

Things turn to be more and more miserable each day for both of them!! 

However, when they realize behind all this hatred there’s love, they never accept it, and in turn keep hurting each other.

The day when Aranya is about to leave India, its then Dhruv makes an attempt to finally tell her and her family about his feelings; after the initial drama, her family finally accepts them and their love and she departs off!!

So, to find out the whole thing, you got to buy a copy for yourself, and it’s definitely worth it :)

The whole story while you, as a reader try to get inside the skin of the characters, will slowly feel it’s a real one, too real too avoid thinking about it after the last line of the book!! 

The hatred, the hidden love, the feeling of revenge, of hurting each other, of putting the opposite person down, all this feels utterly REAL!!

That's the cliché about Love. You don't choose it, it chooses you ^_^

I, on a personal level was reminded of someone, and felt we both too share similar feelings, maybe!!

1 statement I loved in the book the most is– 

“If you can say ‘fuck off’ to her/him on his/her face, its real love!”

Ha-ha!! Relationships these days are sort of like this, the way it's mentioned in this book!!

For me, I would not think twice to give it a 5 Star out of 5 for this cute, super wonderful, well written, nicely sketched, so real – like, intriguing, book!!
